Job summary

Starwood Hotels’ WATR bar is hiring a Barback to support bartenders, set up and break down the bar, stock supplies, and prepare garnishes. You will help ensure fast, accurate beverage service and guest satisfaction in a busy, 24-hour operation.

Candidates should have prior barback experience, be organized and able to multitask, and communicate clearly in English. Physical stamina to lift 50 lbs and stand long hours is required; food-handling certification can be earned after joining.

Qualifications

• Prior barback experience.

• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Proficient in verbal and written English communication.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Food Handling certification (can be obtained during employment).

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders in setting up and breaking down the bar area.
• Stock and replenish bar inventory, including liquor and garnishes.
• Prepare garnishes according to recipes and standards.
• Monitor ice supply and ensure machines function properly.
• Provide support to bartenders during service and assist guest requests.
• Follow safety, security, and hotel policies and report issues.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality.
