Job description

Barback – Barback

As Barback, you will be an extension of the bartender and assist in completing all beverage service.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders in setting up and breaking down the bar area before and after service, including arranging bottles, glassware, and bar tools, and ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available.
• Stock and replenish bar inventory, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and other supplies, to ensure bartenders have everything they need to prepare drinks efficiently and accurately.
• Prepare garnishes, such as citrus wedges, olives, and herbs, according to established recipes and standards, ensuring they are fresh, attractive, and ready for use during service.
• Monitor and manage the supply of ice, ensuring ice bins are filled and ice machines are functioning properly to support efficient preparation and service of drinks.
• Provide support to bartenders during service, including fetching and carrying items, clearing empty glasses and bottles, and assisting with guest requests, to help ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; properly store flammable materials.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and standards with self and colleagues.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
