Job summary

Butler's Pantry in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Barback to support bartenders and service captains at events. You will replenish ice, glassware, and supplies, assist in unloading and loading trucks, and help ensure smooth bar service.

Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year of experience, are at least 18, and can work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced team environment. We offer competitive compensation and opportunities to be part of memorable events.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year industry-relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cooperate with Service Captains and bartenders to assist in bar service including replenishing ice, glassware, liquor/alcohol, and other items as assigned
• Work with other coworkers to help as needed
• Assist in the unloading and loading of the truck at the event, following proper procedures
• Maintain focus on assignment at all times in an effort to maximize efficiency, quality and productivity
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude being mindful that competent and quick service help to create a positive overall event experience

Barbacks have the responsibility and opportunity to contribute to a memorable event through the service role at events. The scope of this position considers interaction with clients and their guests, proper service etiquette and procedures, teamwork, and the ability to follow the professional service guidelines set forth by Butler’s Pantry.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work a sometimes physically demanding position that requires standing for long periods of time and ability to lift heavy loads
• Reliable transportation
• Hepatitis A vaccination is required
