Job summary

Butler’s Pantry is seeking a BarBack to support event service and bar operations in a fast-paced setting. You will work with bartenders, captains, and other staff to ensure timely replenishment of ice, glassware, and alcoholic beverages while upholding service standards.

Responsibilities include unloading/loading at events, staying focused on tasks, and maintaining a positive, professional demeanor to create a memorable guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in bar/back-of-house support preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced event setting.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads.

Barbacks have the responsibility and opportunity to contribute to a memorable event through the service role at events. The scope of this position considers interaction with clients and their guests, proper service etiquette and procedures, teamwork, and the ability to follow the professional service guidelines set forth by Butler’s Pantry.

Responsibilities:

• Cooperate with Service Captains and bartenders to assist in bar service including replenishing ice, glassware, liquor/alcohol, and other items as assigned
• Work with other coworkers to help as needed
• Assist in the unloading and loading of the truck at the event, following proper procedures
• Maintain focus on assignment at all times in an effort to maximize efficiency, quality and productivity
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude being mindful that competent and quick service help to create a positive overall event experience

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 6 months to 1 year industry-relevant experience preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Professional appearance and conduct
• Ability to successfully operate in a team environment and provide support to co-workers
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
• Mature judgment and ability to handle a fast-paced environment in a professional manner
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Ability to work a sometimes physically demanding position that requires standing for long periods of time and ability to lift heavy loads
• Reliable transportation
• Hepatitis A vaccination is required
