Crew is seeking a Barback with elevated, high-volume restaurant experience to join an experience-focused front of house team for an exciting new venue. Barbacks are an integral part of our collaborative front-of-house team, helping to create exceptional guest experiences.

Position Summary

Barbacks are the central support system for the bar. You must possess a passion for service, knowledge of the beverage world, and strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills. Continually challenge yourself to work quickly and efficiently.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the bartender in service and beverage menu execution
• Communicate with venue management daily
• Maintain sanitation, personal hygiene, and safety standards as per company and health department guidelines
• Follow safety protocols and venue recipes
• Exercise sound judgment considering safety, customer needs, and environmental factors
• Greet and thank guests with energy and humility
• Interact positively and with composure with guests
• Keep work area clean to meet health standards
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and answer guest questions confidently
• Perform sanitation and cleaning tasks daily
• Prepare syrups and garnishes in-house
• Report to work in a neat uniform, maintain grooming standards
• Set up and break down station, clean after service
• Store food and beverage items safely, perform temperature checks
• Stock beverage items according to menu and par levels
• Uphold company culture and values

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand, walk, bend for extended periods
• Lift 30+ lbs
• Work nights, weekends, holidays, flexible schedule
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Knowledge of safety standards and industry recipes
• Professional grooming and presentation
• Willing to work outdoors in climate conditions

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Must walk, stand, reach, bend, lift, and carry, with potential for slips or trips. Frequent handwashing and lifting up to 35 lbs required.
