Overview
Provide friendly, efficient service to bar guests. Possess a depth of beverage knowledge including alcohol, mixology, and recipes. Able to recommend drinks, pairings, and respond to guest preferences. Responsible for bar set-up, mixing, serving drinks, and cleaning the bar area. Capable of taking guest orders and processing checks. Comply with all state, city liquor laws, and company alcohol policies.
Responsibilities
Associate Responsibilities specific for this role and Department:
- Set up assigned station per outlet standards, specifications, and inventories.
- Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following established guidelines, procedures, and policies regarding beverage and safety controls.
- Greet, interact, and engage with guests professionally, exceeding guest expectations at all times.
- Complete daily assignments and checklists as assigned.
- Assist other bartenders and servers as necessary to ensure efficient and quality service to all guests.
- Maintain cleanliness standards in both front and back of the house to ensure high-quality product delivery.
- Manage time and section productivity according to business volume.
- Ring guest checks; collect cash and process credit and room charges following company policies.
- Complete liquor requisitions and supply lists.
- Know and comply with state and city liquor laws.
Qualifications
- Able to read, write, and speak basic English.
- Able to understand and apply basic multi-tasking skills to maintain a cohesive work environment.
- Able to follow simple instructions and deal with standardized situations.
- Able to push, stand, stoop, bend, and lift items weighing up to 150 pounds repeatedly during a shift.
- Good attitude and work ethic to ensure maximum efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, for long hours.
- Able to add, multiply, and count money accurately.
- General Duties:

Education
- High school diploma preferred.
Experience
- At least three years of experience working as a bartender in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Skills
- Ability to make drinks according to standard recipes.
- High level of wine knowledge.
