Job summary

FORTH Hotel and Club in Atlanta is hiring a Bar Supervisor to lead the beverage team, prepare drinks to standard, coordinate service across outlets, and safeguard bar operations with prudent cost controls in a dynamic hospitality environment.

You will ensure compliance with liquor regulations, train and mentor staff, schedule shifts, monitor inventories, balance pour costs, and deliver guest-focused service that reflects Davidson Hospitality Group’s standards of quality and innovation.

Qualifications

• Food/Beverage Service Worker permit, where applicable.
• Requires high school reasoning level.
• Requires 8th grade language level.
• Requires 8th grade math level.
• Working knowledge of wine, liquor and inventory methods.
• Read, write and speak English fluently.
• Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.
• Previous supervisory/management experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
• No employee will pose a direct threat to the health/safety of self or others.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics to inspire employees to meet standards.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Maintain open lines of communication for distribution of pertinent information.
• Maintain scheduling and labor costs.
• Promote employee empowerment.
• Report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Assist with selection, training and development of employees per Davidson policies.
• Use proper guidelines for control of pour costs.
• Issue and record all banquet liquor and wine.
• Monitor staffing of beverage outlets.
• Perform in capacity of any position supervised.
• Stock and set up all banquet bars.
• Attend required meetings.
• Complete paperwork related to beverage operations.
• Conduct performance appraisals.
• Supervise setup of happy hour buffet to meet Company standards.
• Complete other duties as assigned, including cross training.
