Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is seeking a Bartender for the Hilton Harrisburg in Harrisburg, PA. The position focuses on serving beverages and food to guests in a courteous and timely manner, handling cash, and assisting other servers with beverage service.

The role requires knowledge of bar operations, basic math, and strong guest service skills. Must comply with liquor laws and maintain a neat appearance.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and POS.
• Basic English writing skills for requisitions, balance sheets and vouchers.
• Manual dexterity to handle garnishes, glassware, ice and stock.
• Ability to read, speak and understand English to communicate with guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, promote and document orders for drinks, mix and garnish drinks.
• Input orders into a POS and create checks; balance tabs.
• Reconcile product and cash at host and cash bars.
• Receive cash, give change, verify charges and balance money.
• Lock up and store beverage, food and equipment items; deposits and balance checks.
• Attend mandatory meetings and perform general cleaning to keep area tidy.
