JOEY Restaurant Group is hiring a Bar Manager in Houston to lead a high‑performing bar team and drive quarterly strategic goals. The role emphasizes delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing inventory, and maintaining safety and environment standards.

You will recruit, train, and coach staff while partnering with leadership to support growth and performance. The position requires 1–3+ years of leadership, valid local/state permits, and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of leadership experience.
• Must have or obtain valid local/state Food Handler and Alcohol Server permits.
• Passion for hospitality with a track record of world‑class experiences.
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑performing bar team.
• Deliver guest‑centered service from entry to departure.
• Uphold bar, safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Coach staff to ensure quality and consistency.
• Drive sales opportunities and guest experiences.
• Support recruitment and retention of team members.
• Coordinate training and development of knowledge and execution.
• Communicate weekly liquor/wine/beer focus to teams.
• Manage bar inventory and weekly cycles.
• Monitor budgets, costs of goods, and labor.
• Address issues and guest concerns promptly.
• Ensure compliance with state laws and health standards.
• Foster a positive, professional workplace atmosphere.
