Bootleg Special is seeking an experienced Bar Manager to lead our bar team and elevate our beverage program. You will oversee daily operations, train staff, and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced Boston setting.

Responsibilities include inventory control, cost management, menu development, and collaboration with restaurant management to deliver exceptional experiences. You will set standards for recipes, pours, and health-and-safety compliance while driving profitability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in bar management or a senior bartending role.
• Strong knowledge of spirits, classic cocktails, and contemporary beverage trends.
• Experience with inventory management, ordering, and beverage cost control.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and hold a team accountable.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on approach and ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and guest service.
• Lead, train, and develop bartenders and bar staff.
• Manage bar inventory, ordering, receiving, and cost control.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor pour costs and beverage profitability.
• Develop and maintain cocktail menus, seasonal specials, and beverage offerings.
• Ensure proper execution of recipes, presentation standards, and responsible alcohol service.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage scheduling, staff performance, and overall team accountability.
• Collaborate with restaurant management to improve operations and guest experience.
