Parry's Pizzeria & Taphouse in Johnstown, CO is seeking a hands-on Bar Manager to lead daily bar operations, beverage quality, and guest experience. You will coach CHEERS across FOH, manage inventory, and drive sales while maintaining cost controls and cleanliness.

The role requires a systems-minded leader who can balance hospitality with beverage execution, staff development, and strong communication to deliver memorable experiences that bring guests back.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant management experience preferred, with bar leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of bar operations, beer, cocktails, beverage quality, and responsible alcohol service.
• Proven ability to build sales and develop a high-performing bar team.
• Strong systems mindset with attention to inventory, waste, labor, cleanliness, and execution.
• Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication and coaching skills.
• Comfortable engaging guests, building regulars, and making recommendations.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Professional, energetic, accountable, and coachable.

Responsibilities

• Lead bar operations with accountability for beverage quality, sales, cost control, cleanliness, and guest experience.
• Coach CHEERS across FOH to enhance guest interactions and sales.
• Drive beverage sales by developing bartenders who recommend beers, cocktails, and food pairings.
• Maintain knowledge of Parry's beer and cocktail programs and ensure team can discuss offerings confidently.
• Build regulars through guest conversations and community connections.
• Ensure bar cleanliness and proper waste control with daily line checks.
• Manage shift opening/closing tasks and organize using restaurant systems.
• Control labor through effective schedule writing and communication.
• Hire, train, and develop bartenders and FOH staff to standard.
• Lead FOH shifts with strong floor awareness and guest recovery.
