Job summary

The Stella Hotel & Ballroom in Kenosha, WI is seeking a hands-on Sous Chef of Banquets. You will partner with the Executive Banquet Chef to design and execute banquet menus, ensure presentation and quality, manage food costs, and lead the kitchen team during event service.

This overtime-eligible manager role offers opportunities to drive guest satisfaction, uphold Aimbridge Hospitality standards, and contribute to a busy lakeside property known for hospitality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years progressive Banquet Kitchen experience with supervisory duties.
• Proficiency in company-approved computer programs and basic arithmetic.
• Strong communication and decision-making in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead banquet kitchen operations and guide the crew to ensure safety, quality, and presentation.
• Design banquet menus and food presentations for displays and buffets.
• Manage food costs, inventories, and ordering to maintain profitability.
• Train and develop kitchen staff; hire top talent and foster a collaborative team culture.
• Collaborate with Executive Banquet Chef to ensure timely, flawless events.
