Qualifications

Job Title: Seasonal Part-Time Banquet Server

Position Details:
  • Type: Seasonal, Part-Time
  • Starting Pay: $12/hour + Gratuity
  • Supervisory Role: No
  • Reports To: Banquet Manager
Position Summary:

Banquet servers are essential for ensuring successful events by providing excellent guest service, maintaining event flow, and performing various event-related tasks.

Essential Functions:
  • Event Setup and Breakdown:
    • Detailed setup of event spaces, including linens, table settings, and decorations.
    • Efficient breakdown of food and beverage service areas.
    • Table and chair setup as required.
  • Food and Beverage Service:
    • Buffet attending and plated meal service.
    • Bussing tables and clearing dishes.
    • Restocking and returning equipment to assigned locations.
  • Guest Interaction:
    • Providing high-quality customer service.
    • Maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to the dress code.
  • Operational Duties:
    • Polishing glassware and silverware.
    • Proper linen setup.
    • Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in all work areas.
    • Operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, coffee machines, blenders, and dumbwaiters.
  • Location Flexibility:
    • Working in various Schweitzer Mountain Resort venues, including The Sky House, outdoor locations, and The Lakeview Lodge.
    • Working in outdoor festival tents.
  • Scheduling:
    • Availability on most Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
    • Availability during Schweitzer festival weekends, including Labor Day Weekend.
  • Uniform Standards:
    • Strict adherence to the banquet uniform standards.
Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged standing and walking (up to 10 hours per shift, with breaks as available).
  • Frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting of over 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, twisting, and reaching above shoulder level.
  • Use of hands for grasping and fine manipulation.
  • Work environment: Approximately 60% indoor.
  • All sensory skills are required.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities and activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
