Job description

JOB SUMMARY: The Banquet Server presents food and beverages to guests. Ensures all guest needs are met, including proper service. As directed and/or assigned, perform bartending duties which may include but are not limited to: mixing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes and measurements. Responsible for the setup and tear down of equipment for meetings and food and beverage functions in the banquet and training rooms.

1. Practice, support, and promote the Mission, Vision, and Values of Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino.
2. Provide service within established policy, and procedure and in accordance with event BEO.
3. Present food and beverages to guests.
4. Perform bartending duties as directed and/or assigned.
5. Provide excellent guest service and promote positive guest relations.
6. Meet deadlines as needed.
7. Stock, store, and care for all banquet equipment.
8. Assist in the washing and stocking of glassware and utensils as needed.
9. Clean banquet and storage areas as needed.
10. Ensure banquet areas are clean and restocked.
11. Smile and engage Guests and Team Members with a positive, professional demeanor.
12. Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive work environment.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year restaurant/deli experience preferred.
• Obtain and maintain a valid WA State Health Card/Food Handlers Permit.
• Obtain and maintain a valid MAST certification.

Ability to maneuver in all areas of the casino, ascent/descent from stairs, frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling or crouching, and/or prolonged periods of time focusing on tasks. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. May regularly need to lift/ move, push, or pull up material or boxes necessary to the job function, with or without assistance.

Occasionally required to lift/move, up to one hundred (100) pounds of force (pulling, pushing, lifting, carrying, etc.) and reach with hands and arms, use hands to grasp, and have finger dexterity to handle objects, tools, or controls. Exposure to both extreme Hot and Cold temperatures, equipment, and substances and regularly required to work in tight, high or confined spaces.

Specific vision ability includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Visual acuity to discern and examine text, graphics, color, and symmetry. Speech to communicate clearly, express ideas and convey information in an understandable manner. Ability to hear for listening comprehension and to understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Manual dexterity to operate office or required equipment and examine or update documents, records, data, instructions, logs, and files.

Comprehension in assessing, analyzing, and processing alpha, numeric, and visual data and completing required tasks or documents accurately.
