Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Banquet Server executes set up for all events and provide friendly, professional service for all functions in accordance with Bass Pro Shops Hospitality standards. They are responsible for serving for various sized banquets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Set ups, serves and cleans up banquet functions.
  • Understands menu, preparation and food pick up locations.
  • Ensures the proper storage of all assets and maintains clean and orderly work areas.
  • Follows mandatory service requirements.
  • Complies with state liquor laws and health regulations.
  • Facilitates all guest requests in a timely courteous manner.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience:6 months experience in banquets
  • Missouri class E or Arkansas P designated driver's license and a safe driving record is required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regularly required to walk
  • Uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear
  • Frequently required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Occasionally required to sit and taste or smell
  • Regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT :

  • Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
