Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Assistant Banquets Director to lead front-of-house banquet and beverage teams, ensuring events run smoothly, safely, and to standard. This hands-on role involves staffing, setup, execution, and real-time problem-solving across multiple events while upholding our promise to Lead with Love.

You'll work with the leadership team to coach associates, maintain organization, and ensure timelines are followed, delivering memorable guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Three years of management experience in a large convention center or hotel.
• Beverage experience is required.
• Banquet/event space center experience preferred.
• Bi-lingual, English and Spanish speaking is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Oversee events execution and guest experiences beyond expectations.
• Understand and implement SOPs.
• Develop event plans with timelines, staffing, and equipment.
• Collaborate with catering, kitchen, sales to meet specs.
• Provide leadership to guide the team during events.
• Train and support staff to deliver high-quality service.
• Monitor cleanliness and safety standards throughout events.
• Have basic knowledge of P&L and budgets.
