Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Round Rock, TX is seeking an Assistant Banquet Director to partner with the Director of Banquets in leading front-of-house banquet and beverage teams. You will oversee events, staff scheduling, service standards, and safety, while ensuring timely execution and guest satisfaction.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong communication, operational awareness, and the ability to manage multiple events across shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of management experience in a large convention center or 500+ room hotel.
• Beverage experience is required; prior banquet manager experience preferred.
• Experience working in banquet/event spaces of 75,000+ sq ft.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the execution of events, ensuring smooth operations and guest experiences.
• Understanding of and experience implementing SOPs.
• Develop and implement event plans, including timelines, staffing schedules, and equipment requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure event specifications are met.
• Provide leadership to the team and ensure high-quality service.
• Provide training and support to staff to deliver their roles effectively.
• Monitor cleanliness and safety throughout events.
