Job summary

Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati is seeking a Banquet Houseman/Steward to support banquet operations. You will clean and set up banquet spaces, ensuring dishes and silverware are ready to meet event needs.

You will work closely with the Executive Chef and F&B team, monitor equipment, assist in inventory, and help maintain safety and cleanliness standards.

The role requires at least one year in Banquets, background checks, drug screening, and being 21 or older.

Qualifications

• Requires 1 year progressive experience in the Banquets Department.

Responsibilities

• Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati their choice for gaming entertainment; active in building guest relations and mentoring team members for superior service.
• Follows and maintains department objectives, standards, and guidelines for proper operation.
• Assists in ordering and receiving non-food items within the Food & Beverage Department, maintaining adequate inventory par levels.
• Inspects equipment and ensures it is in working order per Hard Rock safety and cleanliness standards; authorizes replacement parts as needed.
• Maintains open communication with the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage.
• Attends and participates in meetings, completes follow-up as assigned.
• Performs work regularly and predictably.
• Other duties as assigned.

The incumbent in this position is responsible for cleaning operations in our Banquets area, ensuring the banquet space is supplied with clean dishes and silverware according to business needs. As well as setting up banquet areas for events.

Responsibilities

• Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
• Follows and maintains department objectives, standards, and guidelines to ensure proper operation of department.
• Assists in ordering and receiving all non-food items within the Food & Beverage Department, ensuring adequate par levels of inventory.
• Inspects equipment and ensures all equipment is in working order and up to Hard Rock safety and cleanliness standards; authorizes replacement parts for equipment in the food departments.
• Maintains open lines of communications with the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage.
• Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
• Perform work regularly and predictably.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through a minimum of one-year progressive experience within the Banquets Department.
