Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Sandusky, OH is hiring a Banquets Floor Supervisor. You will supervise setup, service and cleanup for banquet functions, ensuring quality and safety while leading a team and delivering guest-focused experiences.

Starting rate is $17.00 per hour. The role emphasizes leadership, coordination of events, and timely problem resolution to maintain high standards across resort dining and events.

Qualifications

• 1 year of supervisory or management experience in food service or the hospitality industry in a convention center or large hotel (preferred).
• Prior experience as a server and setup houseperson is required.
• Broad understanding of the tourism industry and day-to-day hotel/resort operations is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the setup of meeting and banquet functions against banquet event orders (BEOs).
• Supervise and assist with setup of assigned catered functions to met standards and prep for service.
• Assist Banquet Manager with banquet work schedules and wage progress reports.
• Supervise breakdown after functions to ensure proper storage of equipment and supplies.

Banquets-Floor Supervisor

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking aBanquets Floor Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and assisting with the setup, service, and cleanup of all assigned banquet functions. Also ensures quality of service, compliance with health, safety, and sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.

You’ll enhance the guest and associate experience by ensuring exceptional service delivery through effective team leadership, prompt issue resolution, and a welcoming environment.

Starting Rate: $17.00 an Hour

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect the setup of meeting and banquet functions, checking them against the banquet event orders (BEO's).


• Supervise and assist with the setup of assigned catered functions, ensuring that the hotel's standards are met, and advance preparation for service is adequate to allow efficient service to the guest once the function begins.


• Assist Banquet Manager with the creation of the banquet work schedules and completion of banquet wage progress reports.


• Supervise and assist with the breakdown after the completion of functions to ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored properly.

What We’re Looking For

• 1 year of supervisory or management experience in food service or the hospitality industry in a convention center or large hotel (over 500 room property) is preferred.


• Prior experience as a server and set-up houseperson is required.


• Having a broad understanding of the tourism industry and the day-to-day operations of a hotel/resort are helpful.
