Job summary

Omni Fort Lauderdale is seeking a skilled Cook to manage all prep and production in our culinary operation, delivering high-quality food to meet hotel standards. This role supports the Chef, executes menu items, and maintains kitchen cleanliness and safety.

The right candidate has hands-on food and beverage knowledge, at least 2 years of cooking experience in a large convention luxury hotel, and the flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on food and beverage knowledge and a comprehensive, working knowledge of the hospitality business.
• A minimum of 2 years of continuous cooking experience in a large convention luxury hotel.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong customer service skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and refine service standards in the kitchen in line with hotel expectations.
• Prepare and produce food for all outlets and events, under the Chef supervision.
• Ensure health, safety and sanitation practices; assist with line and station setup.
• Oversee daily prep, food production, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Assist with menus, food quality, and presentation for both hotel dining and catering.
