Job summary

L'Auberge de Sedona in Sedona, AZ seeks a Banquets Captain to lead event setup, service, and teardown with a focus on flawless guest experiences. You will guide the team, ensure compliance, and coordinate with Sales and Catering to deliver memorable events.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong math skills, and excellent communication, underpinned by a commitment to safety and luxury service. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality coursework is a plus.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with state regulations).
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and take initiative.
• Strong proficiency in financial tasks and arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Lead the charge in setting up, servicing, and breaking down epic banquet events, ensuring every detail matches Banquet Event Orders.
• Maintain appearance, service, and safety standards; be the policy/liquor-law go-to.
• Rally the crew, assign tasks, run pre-event huddles, and train new recruits.
• Bridge Sales, Catering, and guest needs; resolve issues and prevent accidents.
• Oversee schedules, wage reports, inventory, beverage service, and cash handling.
• Support A/V, attend meetings, manage Lost and Found, and safeguard sensitive areas.
