Job summary

Cypress Village Retirement is seeking a Banquet Supervisor to assist the Associate Director of Dining Services with coordinating, seating, appearance and maintenance of the banquet area and server stations, ensuring courteous and efficient service.

The role requires leadership, on-the-job training for banquet staff, and the ability to manage meal counts and reservations with knowledge of POS systems. Availability seven days a week is expected.

Responsibilities

• Supervise banquet room appearance and server stations in the absence of the Associate Director.

• Record meal counts, reservations, and additional charges; use POS systems.
• Communicate banquet room status with the Associate Director of Dining Services.
• Assign side-work pre & post shift; assign banquet servers to workstations.

• Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills.
• Available seven (7) days per week for work schedule.
• Ability to interpret and explain menus, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests.
• Ability to communicate with, understand, empathize with, work with, and be tolerant of residents, families, visitors, peers, supervisors, and subordinates.
• State applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card required.
