Job Description
Supervise servers/bartenders on the floor, make sure food is presented neatly, served on time and that all functions are coordinated properly.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for controlling all aspects in the execution of banquet functions.
- Read and understand BEOs
- Effectively supervise and coordinating the Banquet staff during all food and beverage service.
- Effectively communicate with Culinary staff and other management staff to ensure success of all functions.
- Responsible for adhering to property/company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for adhering to all liquor liability laws.
- Responsible for all accurate billing, to include Micros and Delphi postings and all liquor consumption reports
- Must assist/conduct all designated staff/pre-function meetings.
- Computer Skills, (Outlook, Delphi, Excel)
- Attend all property/department meetings
- Assist the Banquet Manager in the complete operation of the Banquet Department.
- HOTEL SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- To know all general information about the property and be able to accurately answer all guests questions.
- To know layout of the property and all meeting room names and locations.
- Computer, coffee maker/urn, toaster, , beverage machines, bus trays, dishware, silverware, glassware, queen-mary cart, telephone, pen/pencil, Micros
- WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Interior/Exterior of hotel, in the restaurant, lounge and kitchen areas, with exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals.
- Exposure to food items and beverages.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years food and beverage experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Pleasant and helpful personality.
- Availability to include weekends and holidays
- Computer knowledge
- RAMPcertification required
