Job summary

Westin Riverwalk Hotel, part of HEI Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Banquet Assistant to support banquet events and ensure a positive guest experience. This role involves setting up rooms, coordinating with the Banquet Manager, and maintaining cleanliness and readiness for ongoing functions.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate physical stamina for long shifts, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and clear verbal and written communication to interact with supervisors, colleagues, and guests.

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication with diverse audiences.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to move goods with a hand cart/truck up to 500 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist Banquet Manager in preparations for banquet events.
• Set up meeting rooms according to guest specifications, including transport of tables, chairs, and equipment.
• Supply and replenish meeting rooms with glasses and water.
• Break down meeting rooms after events and return to storage for next use.
• Maintain cleaning schedules for meeting rooms and ballrooms.
