Job summary

The Westin Tampa Waterside, operated by HEI Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Banquet Associate to assist the Banquet Manager in preparing for events and ensuring a positive guest experience. This on-site role requires physical activity, room setup, and attentive service to deliver memorable occasions in a downtown Tampa setting.

Ideal candidates will handle equipment, table styles, and movement of items, while maintaining room cleanliness and timeliness for each function.

Qualifications

• Requires considerable physical activity throughout shift.
• Ability to lift/move tables, chairs, and podiums up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up all meeting rooms to guest specifications, including moving heavy items.
• Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and water.
• Break down rooms after meetings and return items to storage.
• Maintain cleaning schedule for meeting rooms and ballrooms.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
