Job summary

The Omaha Marriott Downtown At The Capitol District is seeking a Banquet Set-up team member to ensure event spaces are ready for guests. You will set up tables and chairs, clean carpets, and assist in service as needed, contributing to memorable experiences in a busy downtown hotel.

Ideal candidates are flexible, detail-oriented, and capable of working varied shifts including evenings and weekends. Prior hospitality or customer service experience is preferred, with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Varied scheduling including days, evenings, weekends, holidays and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and basic food & beverage service standards.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multitask and maintain professionalism.
• Represent the company in a professional, well-groomed manner at all times.
• Hospitality/customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet spaces as per Banquet Event Order (BEO) and provide customer service per contract.
• Assist in maintaining and coordinating banquet rooms, including setup, upkeep, breakdown, and cleaning.
• Maintain banquet facility cleanliness by cleaning and vacuuming carpets; work in a 24-hour operation.
• Aid in serving guests as necessary and understand event setup requirements.
• Organize and restock linen room and supplies; attend mandatory department meetings and trainings.
• Uphold quality and service standards.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
