Marcus Hotels & Resorts' Omaha Marriott Downtown is seeking a Part Time Banquet Set-up team member to prepare event spaces, arrange tables and chairs, and ensure spaces are guest-ready.

You'll work a varied schedule in a fast-paced, 24-hour operation, maintain cleanliness, assist in serving guests, and uphold service standards. Prior hospitality or customer service experience is preferred, and benefits include meals, parking, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of proper table settings and event setup basics.
• Detail-oriented, able to multitask and maintain professional demeanor.
• Represent the company in a professional, well-groomed manner at all times.
• Hospitality/customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet spaces per Banquet Event Order and provide service per contract.
• Assist in maintaining banquet rooms, including setup, upkeep, breakdown and cleaning.
• Clean banquet spaces and vacuum carpets; work in a 24-hour operation with varied schedules.
• Assist in serving guests and understand event setup requirements.
• Organize linen room and supplies; attend department meetings and trainings.
• Uphold quality and service standards.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

What you will be doing:

• Set up banquet spaces as per Banquet Event Order (BEO) and provide customer service per contract.
• Assist in maintaining and coordinating banquet rooms, including setup, upkeep, breakdown, and cleaning.
• Maintain banquet facility cleanliness by cleaning and vacuuming carpets. Work reliably in a 24-hour operation, accommodating varied schedules and high-pressure situations.
• Aid in serving guests as necessary and understand event setup requirements.
• Organize and restock linen room and supplies, attending mandatory department meetings and trainings.
• Uphold quality and service standards.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

What we are looking for:

• Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and proper set-up as well as have basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Must be detail-orientated, able to multi-task, produce high quality and accurate work as well as show professionalism in all facets of the workplace.
• Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner at all times
• Previous hospitality/customer service experience is preferred.
