Job summary

The Omaha Marriott Downtown At The Capitol District is seeking a Sales Coordinator to join a dynamic team in downtown Omaha. You will handle client communications, coordinate events and proposals, and ensure flawless execution of meetings and functions.

Responsibilities include site tours, event logistics, and collaboration across departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Strong hospitality background and MS Office skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree in hospitality, business, event planning, or related field preferred.
• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills with clients, guests, and team members.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; Marriott systems and event management software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer and route inbound calls to the sales/events office; interact with clients by phone, in person, email and other channels.
• Conduct hotel site tours; represent the property at events to generate business and promote services.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, and sales documents accurately and timely.
• Coordinate event details with clients and internal departments to ensure requirements are met.
• Create and manage event orders, diagrams, and reports; ensure deadlines are met.
• Maintain expert knowledge of hotel facilities, meeting spaces, and set-ups for client engagements.
