Job summary

The Safety Harbor Resort and Spa is seeking AM Banquet Setup Persons to join our Banquet Department.

You will handle physical setup, cleanliness, and maintenance of all banquet equipment and function rooms, ensuring guest satisfaction. Responsible for reading function sheets, setting up ballrooms, and keeping areas tidy.

The resort operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day, and candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work flexible hours. A strong team player is essential.

Qualifications

• Flexible hours including days, weekends and holidays.
• Banquet experience is helpful but not required.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Able to climb ladders, bend, stoop, kneel, push and pull.
• Walk the length of the resort and stand for long periods.
• Must be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Read banquet function sheets and follow instructions.
• Set up ballrooms for hotel events; lift, pull, push and move tables and chairs.
• Be familiar with locations of function rooms and different setup types.
• Keep function rooms and storage areas clean and organized.
• Properly dispose of waste materials during a function; secure dishes and utensils.
• Report damages to equipment or rooms promptly to management for repairs.
• Check electrical outlets and lighting; ensure cords are secured and lights work.
• Maintain attendance records and report lateness or absences as required.
• Perform duties assigned by managers, supervisors, or captains.
• The resort operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day; shifts may change as business needs demand.
