Job summary

Omni Viking Lakes Hotel is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to ensure the function rooms meet guest expectations and Omni standards. You will set up, tear down, and clean all spaces used for banquets and conventions, and coordinate with banquet staff to support events.

Ideal candidates have strong guest service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years banquet experience in a high-volume upscale hotel.
• Excellent guest service skills and interpersonal communication.
• High School Diploma required.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, evenings.
• Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Teamwork-oriented with positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up, stock, and maintain meeting rooms per BEOs.
• Clean and prepare function rooms before and after events.
• Provide amenities as per Banquet Standards.
• Assist with hanging banners and event materials.
• Respond to last-minute requests and coordinate with departments.
• Ensure rooms meet daily worksheets requirements.
• Move convention materials and equipment as needed.
