Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts in Austin is seeking a Banquets Houseperson for a full-time, on-site role. You will set up, stock, and maintain meeting spaces to meet guest expectations and Omni standards.

Responsibilities include refreshing spaces during meals, breaking down after events, and ensuring equipment is clean and returned. Flexibility to work varied shifts and physical stamina are essential.

Previous banquet or hotel experience is preferred, and you must reside within 50 miles of the hotel.

• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, stock, and maintain meeting rooms.
• Refresh meeting rooms during meals and breaks.
• Complete final breakdown of the meeting room.
• Clean and return equipment to proper location.
• Follow Banquet Event Order instructions.
• Assist other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to follow instructions on the Banquet Event Order.
• Assist other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to multi task.
• Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift.
• Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 75lbs without assistance.
• Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250lbs on a regular and continuing basis.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts including afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to communicate in basic English in a satisfactorily level.
• Must reside within 50 miles of the hotel.
• Previous related experience strongly preferred
