Job summary

Boyd Gaming is seeking an On-Call Banquet Set Up Person to join our hospitality team. You will prepare banquet facilities, arrange tables and chairs, read BEOs, and support event staff to create exceptional guest experiences.

This role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, strong organization, and adherence to health and safety standards. You will work in a fast-paced environment with varying crowd levels and must maintain a neat appearance.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in setting up events by following Banquet Event Orders (BEO).
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down tables, chairs, staging, podiums, dance floors, and other banquet equipment.
• Read, comprehend, and execute BEOs to ensure accurate room configurations.
• Maintain banquet areas in a clean, organized, and sanitary condition during events.
• Inspect and stock supplies, ensuring adequate inventory and restocking timely.
• Collaborate with service personnel and event coordinators for seamless execution.
• Operate and maintain chafing dishes, hot boxes, and staging materials safely.
• Anticipate guest and team member needs with urgency and professionalism.
• Adhere to Health Department regulations regarding food handling and cleanliness.
• Maintain a friendly, helpful demeanor with guests and team members.
