Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking banquet staff to serve food and beverages to banquet guests and to set up banquet functions per catering orders. You will greet guests, serve meals from trays or carts, and assist in condiments setup and cleanup after events.

The role requires standing/walking for the shift and the ability to lift and move items up to 40 pounds, with the potential to push/pull heavy carts. Prior experience is a plus, and licenses or certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
• Must be able to lift and carry trays weighing approximately 40 pounds.
• Must be able to push and/or pull carts weighing approximately 100 pounds.
• Six (6) months of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room according to catering specifications (table linens, dishes, silverware, glassware).

Job Description

Serve food and beverages to banquet guests. Set up banquet functions by setting tables with linens, dishes, flatware, and glassware according to banquet order. Break down banquet functions by clearing tables and transporting used items to appropriate areas to be cleaned.

Job Functions

• Set up banquet room in accordance with catering specification sheet; table linens, dishes, silverware, and glassware.
• Greet guests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Serve food and beverage items to guests using hand-held trays and/or buffet carts.
• Prepare and set up condiments.
• Break down banquet room upon completion of function; remove soiled dishes, glassware and silverware and transport to dishwashing area

• Six (6) months of experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand and walk for duration of shift.
