Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a banquet server in Las Vegas to set up banquet rooms, greet guests, and serve food and beverages during events. You will also break down the banquet space and transport used items to the cleaning area, ensuring smooth function operations.

The role requires standing and walking for long periods, the ability to lift 40 pounds, push carts up to 100 pounds, and strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of shift.
• Ability to lift and carry trays weighing approximately 40 pounds.
• Ability to push and/or pull carts weighing approximately 100 pounds.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

• Set up banquet room in accordance with catering specification sheet; table linens, dishes, silverware, and glassware.
• Greet guests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Serve food and beverage items to guests using hand-held trays and/or buffet carts.
• Prepare and set up condiments.
• Break down banquet room upon completion of function; remove soiled dishes, glassware and silverware and transport to dishwashing area

Job Description

Serve food and beverages to banquet guests. Set up banquet functions by setting tables with linens, dishes, flatware, and glassware according to banquet order. Break down banquet functions by clearing tables and transporting used items to appropriate areas to be cleaned.
