Loews Kansas City Hotel, connected to the Kansas City Convention Center, seeks a proactive Banquet Houseperson to ensure flawless event setups for weddings, meetings, and social functions.

You will collaborate with banquet leaders and event teams to execute layouts, maintain clean spaces, and respond quickly to last-minute changes, delivering a guest-ready environment. Qualifications

• Experience in a mid-high-volume banquet environment preferred.
• Ability to lift 100+ pounds repetitively.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Execute room setups and breakdowns per BEOs, including tables, chairs, staging, and décor.
• Position furniture and equipment safely for events.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in banquet and storage areas.
• Perform regular inspections of event spaces before, during, and after functions.
• Assist with light maintenance of banquet equipment and report issues to leadership.
• Respond to guest and team requests during events, including last-minute changes.
• Monitor and restock banquet supplies and communicate inventory needs to leadership.
• Collaborate with banquet captains, servers, and other departments to ensure seamless event execution.
• Uphold safety standards and maintain a professional, guest-ready environment.
• Attend all mandatory trainings and perform other duties as assigned.
