Job summary

Marriott Kansas City Overland Park is seeking a friendly Banquet Server to help deliver exceptional service at weddings, conferences and other events. You will work with the banquet team to ensure timely food service, guest satisfaction and smooth event flow.

Applicants should have basic food/beverage service knowledge, reliable teamwork and a professional appearance. The role offers ongoing training within a dynamic hospitality environment and the opportunity to advance within the Davidson

Qualifications

• Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit (where applicable)
• Six months to one year serving experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Read, write and speak English fluently
• Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service with a smile and positive attitude
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and timely manner
• Clear tables, clean up after events, and ensure the banquet area is tidy
• Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive assistance throughout events
• Work collaboratively with the banquet team to ensure seamless event execution
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform guidelines
