Job summary

Loews Arlington Hotel is seeking a proactive Banquet Houseperson to support flawless event setups in a fast-paced, upscale hotel environment. You will work with banquet leaders to execute layouts, maintain clean spaces, and respond quickly to last‑minute changes while ensuring guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in mid-high-volume banquet settings, can lift heavy equipment, and are flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• One year experience in a mid-high-volume banquet and/or restaurant within an upscale hotel or restaurant preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, bend and lift 100+ pounds repetitively throughout the shift.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Execute room setups and breakdowns based on Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Ensure furniture and equipment are placed accurately and safely for events.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in banquet and storage areas.
• Perform inspections of event spaces before, during and after functions.
• Assist with light maintenance of banquet equipment and report issues.
• Respond to guest and team requests during events and restock supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with banquet captains, servers and other departments to ensure seamless execution.
• Uphold safety standards and maintain a professional environment at all times.
