Job summary

Loews Kansas City Hotel seeks a proactive Banquet Houseperson to craft flawless event settings for weddings, meetings, and galas. You’ll partner with banquet leaders to ensure every space shines, tables are perfectly arranged, and guest experiences exceed expectations.

You should be comfortable lifting heavy items, thrive in a busy environment, and contribute to a seamless, guest-focused team. Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• One year experience in a mid-high-volume banquet and/or upscale hotel or restaurant preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, bend and lift 100+ pounds repetitively throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Execute room setups and breakdowns based on Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Ensure furniture and equipment are placed accurately and safely for events.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in banquet and storage areas.
• Perform inspections of event spaces before, during and after functions.
• Assist with light maintenance of banquet equipment and report issues to leadership.
• Respond to guest and team requests during events.
