Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation is seeking a dedicated Banquet Houseperson to prepare and reset banquet and meeting spaces to exact event specifications. You will work with Banquet Leadership and multiple hotel teams to ensure guest-ready rooms for every function.

The role emphasizes fast, accurate room turns, safety, and strong teamwork. Experience in banquet operations and a professional appearance are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet, hotel, convention, event setup experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and room diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review BEOs and room diagrams; set up banquet/meeting spaces accordingly.
• Conduct final cleanliness and readiness checks before guest arrival.
• Breakdown events and reset rooms for next function with urgency and safety.
• Maintain clean, organized spaces; address spills and safety issues promptly.
• Communicate status to Banquet Leadership and cooperate with teams.
