Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to ensure banquet spaces are prepared according to event orders and hotel standards. You will work with teams to set up, refresh, and break down spaces, delivering a seamless guest experience.

The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing event needs, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to read Banquet Event Orders and room diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Review BEOs and room diagrams to understand daily event requirements.
• Set banquet and meeting rooms according to BEO specifications.
• Arrange tables, chairs, linens, staging, and equipment as required.
• Configure rooms in various layouts (classroom, theater, boardroom, etc.).
• Ensure setups meet safety and hotel standards and are ready on time.
• Break down events and reset rooms for the next function.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet spaces during events.
