Job summary

Ayres Hotels in California is seeking a Banquet Attendant to support catered events and meetings by preparing rooms, setting up tables, chairs, dance floors and conference equipment according to guest requests.

You will transfer keys and pagers between shifts, review orders, ensure beverage stations, replenish coffee and juices, and maintain linens, silverware, glassware and china. The position requires physical effort, good English and the ability to stay composed under pressure.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of writing, reading and speaking English language is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet tables, chairs, dance floors and equipment per guest requests.
• Review banquet orders to understand guest needs and ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure ice water stations are available for meetings unless otherwise requested.
• Make coffee and fill fruit juice and water dispensers as required.
• Replace soiled linens and set tables with silverware, glassware and china.
• Respond to guest needs and requests in a timely manner; maintain cleanliness.
• Break down meeting rooms and return equipment to storage after events.
• Wipe table tops and chairs with damp cloth; follow safety policies.
• Complete end of shift duties as assigned.
