Job summary

Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa is seeking a part-time Banquet Setup attendant to assist in preparing and maintaining banquet spaces. The role supports banquet staff with service, bussing, and setup, ensuring rooms are clean, well-lit and arranged per BEO.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) and basic computer skills with Microsoft Office. Enjoy free employee meals and resort discounts while contributing to the guest experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED or 3–6 months related experience.
• Language: Ability to read simple instructions and short memos.
• Math: Ability to add/subtract and work with dollars and measurements.
• Computer: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Understands BEO (Banquet Event Order) and how to complete a set-up
• Keeps function rooms, conference areas and storage neat and clean
• Returns equipment to storage area in clean condition
• Services/freshens meeting rooms during breaks; checks lights and temperature
• Assists Banquet staff with food running, bussing and buffet breakdown
• Helps inventory Banquet equipment and supplies
• Eliminates safety hazards
• Reports broken or damaged equipment through Engineering Work Order
