Job summary

Hotel Viking in Newport, Rhode Island, is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to join our esteemed team. This role supports event setup and breakdown, assists with furniture arrangement, and delivers equipment to banquet spaces, ensuring flawless functions and a welcoming environment.

You will work closely with banquet servers, maintaining cleanliness and adhering to safety standards while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and furniture.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Set up and break down event spaces to ensure flawless functions.
Arrange furniture, set up tables, and prepare rooms per event specs.
Support banquet servers with timely delivery of equipment and supplies.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas for a welcoming atmosphere.
Collaborate with the banquet team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Anticipate guest needs and assist with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
Adhere to safety and sanitation standards for guests and staff.
Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to teamwork and excellence.
