Job summary

Newport Harbor Island Resort in Newport, RI is seeking a Banquet Barback to support the banquet bar team during events, assist with setup and breakdown, stock supplies, and maintain clean, organized bar areas.

You will work closely with bartenders to deliver drinks promptly, anticipate guest needs, assist in inventory, and contribute to a warm, energetic atmosphere throughout weddings and conferences.

Qualifications

• Experience in barback or similar role preferred.
• Strong physical stamina for lifting and carrying heavy objects.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-energy support to banquet bar team during events and functions.
• Assist in setup and breakdown of bars, including stocking supplies, glassware, and beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
• Collaborate with bartenders to fulfill guest orders and deliver drinks in a timely manner.
• Anticipate and respond to guest needs, ensuring their satisfaction and enjoyment.
• Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and restocking as needed.
• Demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude, contributing to a vibrant and engaging atmosphere.
• Work closely with the banquet team to provide seamless service and exceed guest expectations.
