Castle Hill Inn is seeking a Banquet Utility Worker to support banquet events at Castle Hill Inn in Newport, RI. The role covers setup, service, and breakdown of catering operations, including moving and organizing equipment, maintaining cleanliness of function spaces, and upholding high service standards.

Ideal candidates will have hospitality experience, a strong guest-service orientation, and the ability to stand for long periods while performing physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work on your feet.
• Ability to lift and move 25–75 pounds.
• Ability to read event orders and floorplans.
• Be collaborative, using a team approach to creating an equitable workplace.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, service and breakdown of all catering operations.
• Move, clean, repair and store all equipment, chairs, tables and linen.
• Maintain cleanliness of all function and storage space.
• Maintain service standards and professional appearance.
• Keep work area clean and organized; perform side-work as assigned.
