Job summary

The Confluence Hotel in Hastings, MN is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to ensure seamless setup, maintenance and cleanup of banquet and event spaces. You will work with our banquet team to prepare tables, chairs, linens and equipment for upcoming events.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, speed and safety, with responsibilities including on-site breakdowns, cleanliness, inventory monitoring and guest-request responsiveness.

Qualifications

• Prior hospitality or event setup experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically capable of lifting/moving furniture and equipment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up and breakdown banquet events (tables, chairs, linens, equipment).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before/during/after events.
• Support banquet staff with service-related tasks as needed.
• Ensure event spaces meet specifications and safety standards.
• Respond promptly to guest or staff requests during events.
• Monitor inventory of supplies and report needs to management.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
