Job summary

Luminary Hotel & Co is seeking energetic Banquet Set Up staff to support the banquet team and uphold Marriott standards. You will set up tables and chairs, greet guests warmly, and assist with guest requests while keeping areas tidy.

This role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, using tablets or iPads, and clear communication with team and managers. Hospitality experience and a HS diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher.
• Hospitality experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use tablets/iPads and other technology.

Responsibilities

• Assist with banquet function including setup of tables and chairs.
• Acknowledge guests in public spaces with a warm greeting and provide guest assistance.
• Follow scheduled shifts and lunch/break requirements.
• Report light outages, broken equipment, or room disparities to manager.
• Assist guests with special requests and inventory needs (chairs, tables, banquet linens).
• Maintain professional communication while using technology and ensure guest confidentiality.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of work areas (closets, carts, offices).
• Perform other duties as management requests to service guests.
