Responsibilities
  1. Ensure proper setup of meeting and banquet facilities and assist with supervision of banquet setup.
  2. Inspect each function room before events to ensure client needs and hotel standards are met.
  3. Maintain contact with meeting planners to accommodate last-minute requests and changes.
  4. Meet daily with banquet house staff to ensure standards are followed.
  5. Review daily worksheets and assign duties to banquet house personnel.
  6. Inspect function rooms during events to ensure requirements are met.
  7. Maintain cleanliness of rooms, walls, baseboards, fixtures, and equipment.
  8. Ensure proper setup of tables, drapes, lighting, and temperature controls per client requests.
  9. Organize and maintain storage and back-of-house areas for safety and efficiency.
  10. Implement disciplinary actions as needed in coordination with management.
  11. Ensure unused rooms meet standards.
  12. Provide performance feedback and execute monthly reports.
  13. Recycling and adherence to hotel policies and standards.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1-year banquet setup experience required.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with room setups and BEO specifications.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well with team members and management on projects.
  • Proven leadership and motivational skills.
  • Ability to teach guest greeting and request handling.
  • Quick decision-making and organization skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and courteously.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 100 pounds, and standing or walking for long periods.
  • Flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
