Job summary

Renaissance Hotels in Austin is seeking a Banquet/Event Manager to oversee event operations, lead shift teams, and ensure service quality for group functions.

You will coordinate room setups, communicate dietary needs to the kitchen, manage inventories, and strive to maximize guest satisfaction and financial performance. This is a full-time role requiring strong leadership and adherence to brand standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 2-year degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major.
• 2 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.
• If no standard educational background, at least 3 years of experience in two hospitality areas (food & beverage, guest services, housekeeping, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Verifies meeting and event rooms/space are set according to event documentation and customer requirements.
• Leads shifts and actively participates in the servicing of events.
• Adheres to and reinforces all standards, policies, and procedures.
• Assists in maintaining inventories of function room amenities and supplies.
• Schedules Banquet and Event Service staff to forecast and service standards, maximizing profits.
• Communicates critical information to Banquet, Event Services and Event Technology teams.
