Qualifications

• Requires refined communication skills, strong leadership and relationship skills.
• 3+ years of previous banquet experience preferred.
• Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Open and flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Must exhibit a positive attitude and have a passion for teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the team toward exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results.
• Inspect the set‑up of meeting and banquet functions checking them against the Banquet Event Order.
• Supervise and assist with the set‑up of assigned banquet functions ensuring that the hotel's standards are met and advance preparation for service is adequate to allow efficient service to the guest once the function begins.
• Assist in service of banquet functions as required.
• Assist in banquet set‑up as required.
• Supervise and assist with the break down after the completion of functions to ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored properly.
• Inspect the sanitation of all function space and storage areas to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the department.
• Producing a consistent, quality product that meets and exceeds the guests' needs in a timely manner.
• Monitoring food production, ordering, cost, and quality and consistency on a daily basis
• Assisting with monitoring payroll costs and overtime
